Kiskinis Communications Celebrates Milestone
In 1988, Wrigley Field turned on the lights for its first-ever night game, George Bush defeated Michael Dukakis to become president-elect and the advertising and public relations firm of Kiskinis Communications opened its doors.
As it celebrates nearly 30 years in business, Kiskinis Communications boasts an impressive list of clients including one of the nation’s largest automotive exhibitions, South Florida’s largest privately-owned concrete company and the nation’s largest outdoor fine arts festival. It’s a far cry from the firm’s beginnings.
In just its third year, Kiskinis Communications was selected by the Miami International Auto Show to develop and implement a program to build the show’s credibility within the automotive industry. Over 25 years later, the relationship continues to flourish.
"Our attendance during the past three years has increased significantly, including a rise in international visitors, and we are now regarded as one of the top five U.S. shows by industry leaders and automotive media,"”" said Cliff Ray, coordinator of the Miami International Auto Show. "Kiskinis Communications has been innovative and successful at generating news value for the show both here and abroad."
Some of the communication firm’s most notable accounts have included the Olympic Soccer Games and the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
The firm’s promotion of exhibition hockey, basketball and soccer games in the late eighties played a key role in defining South Florida as a major sports venue. The success of those games helped pave the way for the arrival of the Florida Panthers and Miami Heat.
The years have seen Kiskinis Communications broaden its scope of services to better meet the needs of its clients. Its comprehensive services include media relations, special event management, social media, media placement, graphic design and advertising placement and production.
"Our clients' needs in 1988 were often limited to media relations and special event promotions," said Kiskinis. "With today’s amazing technology advances, there are more and more marketing tools available. We strategically use these tools to achieve the best results for our clients."
"Our firm's growth is not based on the number of clients we've had, but rather on those we continue to represent," said Kiskinis. "We remain committed to providing our clients with personalized service."
